Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to delete your account and what happens to your data.

Important: This action cannot be undone

Once you delete your account, all your data will be permanently removed after the retention period. Please make sure you want to proceed before taking this action.

How to Delete Your Account

Open Settings

Navigate to the Settings section in the Love Connect app.

Select Delete Account

Scroll down to find the "Delete Account" option in your account settings.

Confirm Deletion

Follow the prompts to confirm your account deletion. You may be asked to enter your password or verify your identity.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Account Information: Your email address, name, and account credentials
  • Date Plans: All your saved date plans and upcoming events
  • Journal Entries: All journal entries and memories you've created
  • Profile Information: Your profile picture, bio, and other profile data
  • Notifications: All notification preferences and history
  • Settings: All app preferences and customizations
  • Local Storage: All data stored locally on your device

What Data May Be Retained

For security and legal compliance purposes, some data may be retained in backup systems for a limited time:

  • Backup systems may retain encrypted copies of your data for security and recovery purposes
  • Anonymized usage analytics that cannot be linked to your identity
  • Data required to be retained by law or for legal proceedings

Data Retention Period

30-Day Retention Period

As per our privacy policy, deleted account data will be retained in our backup systems for up to 30 days before permanent deletion. This retention period allows us to:

  • • Recover your account if you change your mind within 30 days
  • • Ensure data integrity and security
  • • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements

After 30 days, all your data will be permanently and irreversibly deleted from all systems, including backups.
